Most of the people would search a software to change extension of your file. With out using a sofware you can easly change the extensions here is the tip
Those you cant rename your file extensions here is the secret behind that..
Select -->control panel.
For example if you are using XP take >START >controlpanel
in that open click Folder options
Now you can see 4 tabs in that select VIEW
if there is a tick mark in Hide extensions in known type unmark it.
Press OK if you are done.
Now you can see the file extensions in your files and select rename to change it .For instance
