In january 2011 intel released new series of processors i3,i5 and i7.All are multicore processors basically for a laptop i5-2410M 2.3-2.9GHz has a dual core which is fast and i7-2630QM
2.0-2.8GHz is a quadcore which is rather fast in multitasking.Multitasking(multicore) means it process more than one instruction at a time.An i5 has 2 or 4 core depenting on the model while i7 has 2,4 or 6 cores it depends both have turboboost the only thing is that i7 has hyperthreading.
Again note that hyperthreading is for multitasking.i7 has lower clock speed compared to a single core.For frequent gaming and watching HD moviesi5 is recommended for multitasking i7 you can also choose according to your budget .Here is a solution for the people who are in dilemma
